Worth Half-Price

I like to classify things into categories. For example when I see a trailer for a movie and I am interested in seeing it I classify it into one of these categories: Friday night ($10), Matinee ($5), Discount theater ($2.50) or Redbox ($1). The crappier the movie looks the lower category the movie gets put in.

Last night Mitch and I went to see "How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical" at the Plymouth Playhouse last night. We had a coupon to get our tickets at half price, and it was totally worth half price. I enjoyed the cheesy play and laughed at all the Minnesota jokes, recognizing myself in quite a few of them. When Mitch and I walked out of the play last night he asked me if I liked it and I said that I did but I would have been disappointed had we paid full price. Things just always seem better if you get them at a discount. If you see a shirt on the sale rack it is automatically 13% cuter than if it was at full price. Same rule works for plays as well as movies, if you see a show at a discounted rate you enjoy it more than if you paid full price.

Word of advice...after seeing the movie "Other Guys" tonight with my Mom, my brother Benny, and Mitch I would classify it in the "wait for it to play on TBS category."
